Ana de Oliveira, Underwriter and Executive Head, with over 26 years of experience working in the Financial Lines sector of the Insurance industry. As well as having worked for some of the leading underwriting managers in the South African market, Ana also headed up her own Managing General Agency and has experience working in several different African territories, up until most recently, where she was Branch Manager of an underwriting agency operating in the European market, based out of Barcelona Spain.
Ana holds a B.Comm in Economics, an AIISA (Associateship Insurance Industry of South Africa), has completed the relevant FSB regulatory qualifications, as well as a Master's majoring in Entrepreneurship.
Ana is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Afrikaans.
Building highly effective teams, focused execution of business plans, strategic planning skills, combined with her appreciation of working in multi cultural organizations enabled Ana's transition to the European market over 7 years ago.
Ana's passion for learning and motivating young people led to her volunteering work with her alma mater, Wits University, together with developing graduate programmes in the various organisations in which she worked. Many young professionals are leading figures in the insurance industry today and give thanks to Ana for her encouragement, mentorship and for providing them with opportunities to develop a thriving career. Ana's drive, 'can do' attitude and attention to detail ensure that she is always seeking to create innovative solutions to better service clients evolving needs and positively influence those around her.
